You’re now extending your content to be made available in a dynamic format for people on the go. This is becoming more commonplace than ever, and is of course particularly easy for blog content.
Preview. Mippin gives you a mobile preview, displaying how your content will appear on most average hand helds. This is useful because there are different ways in which your content can appear for various services that mobilize your site on your behalf. With Mippin’s preview option, you get a better feel of how your content will appear and become accessible to others.
Some Things Mippin Could Still Use
Mobile & Web. A more comprehensive network for finding mobile content both online and on the web. Even as a mobile service, Mippin could use a network to make it easier to customize your Mippin mobile portal with web tools. While it’s useful that Mippin has a useful mobile offering for accessing and customizing account details, we still see many mobile services offering tools both online and on hand helds. Several mobile services are also going in this direction, such as Rocketshotz.
Recommendations. This is also something that mobile portals and networks are moving towards, and it could be further improved with a more transparent process for searching, filtering and finding content based on the activity of other users. As they establish themselves as centralized resources, the next steps are to offer extensive recommendations that can be taken into account for end users that are taking to mobile portals and networks as extensions of their computers for access to web content. Widsets has done a good job at introducing a higher level of recommendations to its mobile service.
